That was so lovely.<\/em><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theshortgame.net\/338-ifcomp-2022-part-1\/\">The Short Game Podcast<\/a> talks about <em>Esther&#8217;s<\/em>, October 2022.<br><em>Overall: It was cute. I enjoyed it.<\/em><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/intfiction.org\/t\/adventure-snack-if-comp-2022-micro-reviews\/58388\">Adventure Snack<\/a> promotes <em>Esther&#8217;s<\/em> in their newsletter (<a href=\"https:\/\/adventuresnack.substack.com\/p\/you-are-a-zombie-yelp-reviewer\">Substack<\/a>), October 2022.<br><em>Esther\u2019s is slyly written&#8230; adults will get more than a few laughs playing this with their kids.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Written impressions. I&#8217;ve starred some of the more extensive criticism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2022-10-01 <a href=\"https:\/\/ifdb.org\/viewgame?id=5myfh1xhwfe3xo3g&amp;review=68475\">Rachel Helps<\/a>.<br><em>I didn&#8217;t like that my choices didn&#8217;t matter that much.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-02 <a href=\"https:\/\/intfiction.org\/t\/josh-gramsss-2022-ifcomp-ramblings\/57895\">Josh Grams<\/a>.<br><em>Well worth the 5-15 minutes you\u2019ll spend with it.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-03 <a href=\"https:\/\/intfiction.org\/t\/manons-reviews-ifcomp-2022\/57904\/11\">Manonamora<\/a>.<br><em>I would play the heck out of 5min stories with those two.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-07 <a href=\"https:\/\/intfiction.org\/t\/viv-dunstans-ifcomp-2022-musings\/58042\/2\">Viv Dunstan<\/a>.<br><em>This is quite charming!<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-08 <a href=\"https:\/\/ifdb.org\/viewgame?id=5myfh1xhwfe3xo3g&amp;review=68547\">Arlo Elm<\/a>, 5 out of 5.<br><em>The humor is clever, gentle, and exactly the kind of thing to delight a young child<\/em>.<\/li><li>2022-10-10 <a href=\"https:\/\/intfiction.org\/t\/jjmccs-ifcomp22-r-o-o-t-reviews-out-of-time\/57994\/13\">JJ McC<\/a>*, 6 out of 10.<br><em>Esther\u2019s stands shoulder to shoulder with its paper inspirations.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-11 <a href=\"https:\/\/ifdb.org\/viewgame?id=5myfh1xhwfe3xo3g&amp;review=68616\">RadioactiveCrow<\/a>, 3 out of 5.<br><em>The epitome of a children&#8217;s book in IF form, but doesn&#8217;t offer much for adults.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-12 <a href=\"https:\/\/intfiction.org\/t\/ann-hugos-reviews-ifcomp-2022\/58079\/7\">Ann Hugo<\/a>, 9 out of 10.<br><em>Absolutely lovely.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-12 <a href=\"https:\/\/ifdb.org\/viewgame?id=5myfh1xhwfe3xo3g&amp;review=68707\">&#8220;Toast!&#8221; Rovarsson<\/a>, 4 out of 5.<br><em>I was grinning ear to ear the whole time.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-13 <a href=\"https:\/\/intfiction.org\/t\/doug-egan-comp-2022-reviews\/58068\/7\">Doug Egan<\/a>.<br><em>A good introduction for the youngest audience, and an entertaining diversion for the rest of us.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-13 <a href=\"https:\/\/intfiction.org\/t\/mike-russos-if-comp-2022-reviews\/57916\/55\">Mike Russo<\/a>*.<br><em>From stem to stern, it\u2019s adorable.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-15 <a href=\"https:\/\/groggydog.tumblr.com\/post\/698189122925461504\/if-comp-reviews-part-1\">Groggydog<\/a>.<br><em>Is it going to win many awards? Probably not. But I enjoyed it nonetheless.<\/em><\/li><li>2022-10-16 <a href=\"https:\/\/intfiction.org\/t\/andrew-schultz-s-review-thread-final-4-long-way-to-nearest-star-into-the-sun-january-prism\/57871\/43\">Andrew Schultz<\/a>*.<br><em>It does not address any big issues, but it leaves you more recharged to deal with them than, well, pretty much any other way you can stare at a computer screen.
