{"id":1014,"date":"2012-03-14T10:00:03","date_gmt":"2012-03-14T17:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/islemaster.wordpress.com\/?p=1014"},"modified":"2014-03-16T23:54:57","modified_gmt":"2014-03-17T06:54:57","slug":"mafia-lafitte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bradleycbuchanan.com\/b\/mafia-lafitte\/","title":{"rendered":"Mafia: Lafitte"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/julianrod\/231389384\/\" title=\"Con esa corbata no asust\u00e1s a nadie by julianrod, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/82\/231389384_0f159af12e.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Con esa corbata no asust\u00e1s a nadie\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Over the 2011-2012 winter break I organized a play-by-email game of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mafia_(party_game)\">Mafia<\/a> for about forty of my ETC colleagues.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yotamhaimberg.com\/\">Yotam Haimberg<\/a> and I co-narrated the game, which lasted one month.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve created a <a href=\"http:\/\/etcmafia.wordpress.com\/about\/\">full record of the game<\/a> where you can read it from any one player&#8217;s perspective, or see the whole thing at once.<\/p>\n<p>Although Mafia has been around for some time, in our game every player was given a special role (some of them quite unusual) and it was an excellent learning experience to design and run the game.
